Productivity - Habit tracking/Mental health
Continuining on my productivity apps setup, here is a list of apps I use for my mental health, stress and habit tracking.
Day one journal: I use this to journal daily activities, mood summaries and major updates. I have my day split into personal and professional spaces and share updates there.
Daylio: This started out as a fun activity in mid 2019. Daylio lets you pick your overall mood and the corresponding activity. You can have multiple entries per day. The app lets you customize moods and activities to your personality. The extra benefit is you can export all these entries into excel and create visualizations. The app also provides weekly, monthly, yearly stats as well as reminders in case you forgot to add an entry.
Headspace: My employer provides free access to the app and I use it for my meditation. I combine it with my fitbit which provides reminders to meditate/breathe and walk around.

Productivity - Note taking and todo tools
I like keeping all my information organized. Sometimes, my friends and family complain about my obsession with folder structures and data organization but, when it comes to important information, I want to be safe than sorry. Here is a list of my go to tools for universal access.
Note taking
- Obsidian - All my daily notes go here. I have an iCloud setup which lets me share my docs across multiple devices and iCloud accounts.
- Trello - All my todo management lists for home
- Workflowly - I use this when the bullet lists of todos become extremely nested
- Google Calendar - Mostly a reminder/todo tool.

The year started as a mixed bag. I lost one more extended family member at the end of 2021. So from mid 2020 till the end of 2021 that’s close to four. It is not making me stronger but I have to be there for my family.
My uncle was in his 70s. He and his wife (my mom’s elder sister) both got COVID around the same time as my mom in May 2021. My mom could not make it. My uncle already had a couple of health related issues and COVID was the final nail in the coffin. May his soul Rest In Peace.
I am looking forward to a brighter and hopeful new year 2022 and wish the same for everyone.

Pre Christmas Eve celebrations have started I guess. We have more family coming over and the overall mood in the household seems to be getting better.
I spent the morning cleaning up the house and had to make a couple of airport trips. There is always some time to write a few lines of code. Just finished cleaning up some mustache templates for the blog. Also, I need to find a simple Jekyll template which replicates website.
